Task:
You have been asked to prepare an exhibition of photos which compares the life of Americans during the boom times of the 1920s with the depressed years of the 1930s.
Choose 4 pictures from each decade which you think provide the greatest contrast.
On each slide explain what it shows and why you chose it.
For the 1930s find an image which includes the following - a 'Hooverville' and a 'dust bowl' farm from the time.
